I suspect that the fuel screen is clogged on my 560SL, based on it's current behavior: stalling while driving, but idles fine. Also, the fuel pumps that have always buzzed now make a different noise. I have not yet crawled underneath the car to look, but is this screen something a person can get at without a lift? I'm not a big DIY person, but I can handle the small stuff. This might be a dealership thing, but it makes my wallet tingle just to think about it.
Any feedback appreciated.

Just wanted to post a "never-mind" in case someone felt compelled to reply. The problem was that the #1 fuel pump was self-destructing (buzzing) and sending metal fragments into the #2 pump and filter. Had to have all three items replaced. Had my DIY skills been up to the task, I would have ordered the parts from Rusty and saved a few $. But the real moral of the story is: don't ignore the buzz from the fuel pumps in SL's of this vintage; eventually it takes it's toll.
